ACRES OF HOPE FARM RAINBOW BRIDGE
Hunt For Passion aka Hunter Bay 9yr TB Geld.
Hunter was my very first rescue here at our Farm. He came to us because I recieved a call 5 days before Christmas asking if I could take this big TB geld. I said I would see if I could find him a home and was told that they needed to know now as he was schedule to be put down in the morning. (See Hunter had a knee chip which is not a big deal but requires time off and a rest.) I of course said yes I would take him, little did I know the adventure this guy would take me on. Hunter came with exrays of his leg taken the race before the last, but it seemed he recieved another chip in the last race. Hunter would have many ups and many more downs in the next year. He ended up so lame that I felt I had done wrong by this guy, should i have just let him be put down? was I helping him or making his pain worse. Hunters knee grew large and he lost alot of weight, i had him on everything known to man nomatter the cost. I was saving him. Well finally I decieded he was just to bad, that i wasnt getting anywhere and he was still lame. I scheduled to have my vet out one last time to tell me i could do no more for this guy. He came and said that it was time. I scheduled the appt and well the morning of the appt I went out to feed and took Hunter his grain and he came running up on all 4's - Not Lame! He even jumped the platform going into the barn. Well I was shocked and followed him around and he just kept running around like nothing was wrong. I called my vet and said well he is not lame and canceled. Well about a month after that he was running around(mind you he had an adoptive home ready to pick him up) and took a wipe out! Fell right on his side, dont you know when he got up, Lame. Well that set the pace for the next 7 months. But i new we would get through it. We did and I had him off all meds. He just had a lump on his knee. A friend called and needed a babysitter, so hunter was adopted out as a buddy for her older horse. Hunter lived there for the last 4 years till her barn no longer had room for him and he came back.Boy did he look great when he came back!! You would never know what he had been through. Racing all over the fields.Hunter spent the summer mowing a friends fields, then came his final home. I recieved a call from Jackie. She was looking for that special horse to have and care for. This would be her first horse. Jackie fell in love with Hunter at first sight.I know these two will share many more adventures together.Jackie also adopted Romeo, one of our mini's as a buddy for Hunter. Pictures from my last visit to thier ranch will get posted soon.(yes he is just 15 min away from me ; ) )

Lady you were one of a kind my gal. When you came we had to put caution tape up so you couldnt rip the skin off our necks as you tried so many times. But once I was able to getyou and get you out of the stall you became the girl we all came to love. Even in the end you still chased everyone off. I hope right now in heavan you are chasing them all around. Lady you taught me alot and I am sorry I never was able to find your one person. This mare just loves life!We are looking for that perfect retirement home for her. She would be great with weaning babies or as a companion, as she is sooo sweet and calm. Not marish at all. Em is great to handle. She is safe around the kids and other pets. No vices This mare was a classy gal in her day. There is no charge for adoption of Em, just a loving home. This gal loves kids and being groomed. Open your heart to this wonderful lady!! We are also accepting sponsership for Em too.

Luc, My friend our Grey Arab Geld
Luc, we were all so proud of you. You had come so far in a short time. We were so happy to see you gain and know you were going to have your home. That last day in the snow with you, well lets just say I will forever treasure those moments. A true arab is very hard to come by but one with a heart and spirit like yours well I dont think I shall ever see that again. Run up there my friend, my pal.
Tinkerbell 32 year old QH mare
Tinkerbell was not with us very long but in the 4 months we had her she was loved by all. She was a very sweet and loving girl who had a great life and lived healthy and happy right to the end.
Franny 23 yr old QH mare
Franny our sweet Franny. You were sent all the way from TN just to retire at our farm. You came in lame and with a swollen leg. Funny thing was you were coming from a vet. didnt take us long to get you sound and happy. though you were not mine, in my heart i felt you were part of the family. That easter day was so hard, I think it was harder for me to let you go then it was for you to say goodbye. I will never forget all you taught me. Franny
Captain Morgan Aged Cross Gelding
Captain, you came to us saved from the kill pen. You had a heart of gold and you loved everyone and everything that ever came near you. As I watched you gain over the months I was so excited to see you bloom into what I knew you were. Once apon a time you were a event horse but now you were just the greatest guy any of us could ask for. We came so close to finding you a home..........but that morning someone else was calling you. I didnt get to say goodbye and i am so sorry for that. Rest my friend.
Flame QH Mare
Flame, you too came to us from the kill pen. Though you looked good on the outside, life had not treated you so well and you had been dumped at the kill pen instead of soomeone having the heart to let you lay in peace. Though we fought it for a while trying to save you. We finially had to listen to the vet and let you go. Such a pretty mare and so willing to please, your time came to fast.
Reese POA/ Appy Geld
Reese you were a sweet guy from the start. Even with your sway back you were such a cutie. You were so shy and afraid when I got you. You soon came out of your shell and went back to being that great pony you once were. The fav to take on the trails or for a hack. You made so many kids happy with the foster program. You were gone way to soon, till we meet again my friend take care
Grey Grey AKA Gunther
