We would like to thank the many families who walk the rail trail every day and see the hard work that goes on at the rescue.
We are not a 501c yet. We do hope to have the money for applying by summer. Any donations, no matter how big or small will make a huge differance in the lives and care of these animals. Right now we use all our own money and have the trail rides to help pay for the expenses. Many of our horses are adopted out for no charge as we just want that special home for them.

We use a special feed mix made at New Park Feed and Supply for our rescue to give these guys that extra boost in recovery.

Items needed everyday~
Medications, first aid supplies, creams, wraps ect are used many times a day!
Wormer~ We rotate between 5 wormers. We dont mind generic either. The most comon, Ivermectin,Ivermectin Gold, Strongid, Tape care, Safe Guard, Quest. Panicur Power Pac.Our horses are wormed every month- every 6 weeks. depending on thier health. ($5- $14 each for wormers. $50 each for the Panicur Power Pac.)
Grain~ We use many types of grain as every horse has special needs.
~ 10 % feed, 12 % feed, 12 % high fat, Fiberized, Fiberized Omega 3, Smart Carb, TC Senior, Phase 4 Senior ($10-$20 a bag. We go through many bags of feed each day)
Other Feed~ Bran Mash, Beet Pulp, Alfalfa Cubes, Crimped Corn, Alfalfa Meal ( $10-$20 a bag)
Added Suppliments~ Source, MSM, Remission, Biotin, Any joint suppliment, Cosequin, Fast Track, BL Solution, Fat Cat, Clovite,Calf Manna. Also if you have a suppliment you live by and think that it would help out these in-need horses let me know or pass it along. (cost of $15-$105 per suppliment per horse per month depending on which ones they are on)
Hay~ We use Timothy square and round bales. We use Alfalfa hay and Alfalfa mix hay in square bales. We also use Grass hay for some of the older horses who dont chew so well. Each horse goes through about 3/4-1 bale a day ($3-$6 a bale)
Sheets and Blankets~ yes this is a big one for us! Our sick and under weight horses need the protection a warm planket can give. We dont care the brand, new or used is great. Even a repaired blanket is great. We do ask that it is clean, so as we dont bring anything in to our already sick horses.We need all sizes and warmth levels. Most used sizes are 70 to 80( med- large) we will accept any size. We do use fly sheets for those with sensitive skin.( new $80-$200 each)
Blanket and Sheet wash~ many of these horses have skin problems so we have to wash the blankets alot and before each new horse. Again any brand or even your left overs are great. ($10-$20)
Water and Feed Buckets~ some how we always need these. Again we will use rubber or plastic. New or used, but must be in safe condition for the horses safty. ( $8-$15)
Brushes and Grooming Supplies~ We always need soft and stiff brushes. Mane combs, curries and hoof picks are also needed.
Hoof and Coat~ We use alot of showsheen, fly spray, hoof oils, bacterial sprays, sun block. ( $10-$24)
Halter and Leads~ They always come in handy.
Tack~ We always need bits, bridles, saddles, pads, splint boots, lounge lines, girths, grip pads, fly masks. English or Western
Do you have something else not on here, give me a call or email me. Thier are alot of items we use and need. This is the everyday basics. So go through your tack room and see what you have you no longer need. I give you my word , it will get its use here.
